The Reverend C.F. Andrews became a friend and associate of Gandhi since they met in South Africa in January 1914. He identified himself with India and supported India's struggle for independence. He took a special interest in assisting Indians abroad, and made a great contribution towards promoting an understanding of Gandhi and the Indian national movement in Britain and other Western countries. |
This year, on October the 2nd, Mahatma Gandhi will have reached the threshold of 70. We may well thank God for the wonderful gift that He has given to India in preserving his life for us so long!
